Welcome to Sail and Dive Adventures, a platform that began around 2004 as an exploration of maritime landscapes and has now evolved into a journey of creativity and personal transformation.
I'm Theodor (Doc) Yemenis - a sailor, diver, and visual artist - passionate about exploring the intersection of travel, visual art, and personal growth. From sailing the North Sea and Mediterranean to diving in the Greek islands and wandering through European cities as a flâneur, my experiences have shaped a vision that blends adventure, reflection, and artistic expression.
This platform, once a space for sharing insights and travel tips, now serves as the foundation for my broader mission: exploring the transformative power of journeys, both physical and introspective.

In summer 2016 I spent almost three months sailing around the Aegean Sea and the Cyclades. Some of the destinations I visited include: Athens ( Acropolis, Plaka ), Delos, Mykonos, Serifos, Sifnos, Folegandros, Antiparos, Paros, Naxos, Koufonisi, Amorgos, Syros ... Grau ist die Farbe des Nordens – kalt und leblos erscheint sein Gemüt. Doch gerade dadurch wächst die Sehnsucht nach dem Süden ins Unermessliche. Mallorca wird zum Brennpunkt dieser Anziehung.
Der Süden, der Mittelmeerraum, ist stets sinnlich, lustvoll, verführerisch – und zugleich arrogant, korrupt, egozentrisch. Das vermeintliche Paradies entpuppt sich oft als Illusion, eine schillernde Scheinwelt, die krass und unwirklich erscheint.
Doch die sonnendurchfluteten Landschaften und das unendliche Blau des Meeres bleiben zum Greifen nah. Die Verlockung zur Überschreitung, zur Verwandlung, ist unwiderstehlich.
Der Mittelmeerraum ist ein Schicksal. Und hier, in diesem Schicksal, fühle ich mich zu Hause. (mehr lesen ...)
